Germany - Magdeburg to Minden

In the fire of 1207 that destroyed the original cathedral, all but the southern wing of the cloister also burned down. The cloister sits right beside the Magdeburg Cathedral. As you walk along the outside of the cathedral and along the outer halls of the cloister there are many ancient memorial stones where we noticed dates from the 1300s through to the 1500s.
